The McDonough Welcome Center is located at 5 Griffin Street, McDonough, GA, in a 1920’s prototype Standard Oil Station on the NW corner of the Square in McDonough. It also houses the office of McDonough Hospitality and Tourism Bureau, and McDonough Main Street Office.

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is a 3/5th replica of the wall that stands in Washington, DC as testament to the sacrifices that have been made to ensure our way of life. It will arrive in McDonough, GA on June 11, 2008. Installation begins June 12, and will require the work of a dozen men for a full day. Visitors are welcome during that process. Viewing, research and transfer rubbings will officially start at 8 AM June 13. On that date a special candle light service, with gospel music and echoing bugles will begin at 6 PM. |
